On Thursday, Mrs. Tyree's Chemistry classes celebrated "Mole Day" with decorated "moles" and food. Celebrated annually on October 23 from 6:02 a.m. to 6:02 p.m., Mole Day commemorates Avogadro's Number (6.02 x 10²³), which is a basic measuring unit in chemistry. Mole Day was created as a way to foster interest in chemistry. Schools throughout the United States and around the world celebrate Mole Day with various activities related to chemistry and/or moles (the measurement - not the animal).

On Wednesday, student Isaac P., accompanied by Mr. Cole and Mr. Spiess, visited Penta Career Center in Rossford to look into and demo a heavy equipment simulator from CAT. The simulator allows students to learn how to drive/operate up to 17 different heavy equipment machines from excavators and loaders to cranes and lifts. Our school is currently investigating finding business partnerships to acquire a similar simulator to provide our students with experience but also an outlet for local companies to provide training for their employees. As always, Carey Schools are looking at options to better prepare our students for the workforce of tomorrow!!
Carey and OLC 6th and 9th graders , along with the other county schools, participated in the Wyandot Cty. Career Showcase today. Our students were able to speak with reps from different careers in Wy. Co. as well as try out a few things. Awesome experience!!

Carey Schools is proud to announce that Madison J. and Leah R. have been selected as our 2025-2026 HOBY Ambassadors. HOBY student ambassadors participate in facilitated dialogue and abilities-based workshops at the state level to develop awareness of their leadership strengths and an understanding of their leadership values. Through these dynamic activities with their peers, students hone their skills and learn to recognize, amplify, and collaborate with the diverse strengths of others. Congratulations to both young ladies!

Carey High School would like to proudly congratulate our following September Students of the Month! Each one of these young people have been recognized for their outstanding contribution to our school culture and community. These Blue Devils make us PROUD!
