Meet K9 Amboo!

Please join us in welcoming a very special new member of the Carey Schools family—K9 Amboo, our new Facility Service Dog! 🐾 Amboo comes to Carey after working and training at the Dayton Correctional Institution, and she is ready to begin her newest assignment: helping make our school a welcoming, safe, and positive place for everyone.

Amboo wants students and staff to know that she is a very friendly and loving dog who loves meeting new people! She knows more than 15 commands that help her handler with his work and are designed to help make everyone's day a little better. While Amboo may have an important job to do, she is also looking forward to one of the best parts of being at school—seeing all of the kids come to school each day! If you see Amboo in the halls, be sure to give her a warm Carey welcome (and remember to follow her handler's directions about when and how to say hello!). Welcome to Carey, Amboo!
