Carey Schools Reopening Plan
Dear Carey school community members,
As stated last Friday, we are releasing our current back to school plans today. We use the term "current" because of the issues related to the coronavirus force us to remain vigilant and flexible. This plan is similar to many other schools' plans, with two different options from which to choose. After you have a chance to look at the options (in-school or remote learning), we will ask you to respond to the questions of whether you will be sending your child(ren) back to school or remaining at home through a third party online option. That survey will be released on Friday.
We have already delayed the start of the school year for students by one week, with students starting on August 26. Please be aware that we may need to adjust our plans further as required by the governor or the Ohio Department of Health. This current plan reflects input from teachers, staff, the community and our local and state health departments, as well as guidance from the governor's office and the CDC. We have one thing in mind with this plan; how can we best meet students' educational needs while keeping staff and students safe.
If you have any questions regarding the plan, please let us know. Thank you for all you do to help Carey Schools serve students and the community.
